We bought a home!!

Wow - what a whirlwind few weeks for us and house shopping. There were 24 listings that matched our criteria and we looked at 16 of them.
Good news is, we got the cream of the crop, by far the best one of the bunch. It's 'turnkey' ready - meaning absolutley NO work to be done.
Bad news is, it was a little more expensive than we had inticipated - however, thanks to a lovely little mortgage rate special - We pay 3.75% on a 3 year term. That made this perchase 100% worth it.
Oh - I should mention - It's the place in Copperfield we bid on this past weekend and walked. We called on monday and tossed in a higher verbal offer. They countered. We took time to think about it. Then last night at 9:30 our Realtor made it happen.
So now all we're waiting for is the conditions (only financing) to be removed on monday.... and we take possession on FEBRUARY 16!!!
We are at Peace. We can now start living our lives, getting into routines... We are a happy family.
I will end this by saying THANK YOU MOM, without you, this dream home probably would not have came into our sights. Thanks to mom, we were able to take our time, watch and study the market and not rush into anything.
So mom, from the bottom of our hearts - Thank you.
PS - not sure why this is doing a run on sentance/no spacers! Oh well.

Can't wait to see pics of your new home!

Any chance of showing the MLS pictures in the meantime?

Hey Melanie! I stumbled across your blog from Darcy's blog :-D

Guess who you're moving in beside... US! I'm sure you have seen those condos that looks like A. They were designed by a committee and B. That committee got a REALLY great deal on 4 different colours of siding but didn't have enough to cover any 1 building entirely in the same colour... the ones on the corner of 130th? That's where Chad and I are :)
